The Importance of exfoliation
Exfoliation removes dead skin cells by breaking the bonds that hold them together, allowing new skin cells to surface. It also opens up your pores and removes dirt and oils from deep within, which may not be effectively removed by normal cleaning. This can help prevent acne and reduces visible pores.
Exfoliation is also key to achieving a flawless self-tan, as self-tanning products adhere better to exfoliated skin. Without exfoliation, you may end up with uneven results.
2 types of exfoliation
There are 2 forms of exfoliation: physical and chemical. Physical exfoliation is done with a granular scrub or a coarse cloth that physically buffs and abrades the skin, which can be harsh and is not recommended for sensitive skin.
Chemical exfoliation is done with alpha and beta hydroxy acids (AHA and BHA) and is the safest and most gentle way to break the bonds between dead skin cells and unclog pores. These acids also have other benefits such as antibacterial properties, increased collagen production, and reduction of hyperpigmentation and scars.

For the body:
Exfoliate & Glow Body Scrub is a purely chemical exfoliating gel that contains natural AHAs and BHAs: lactic acid, glycolic acid, citric acid, and salicylic acid. It also contains almond oil, coconut oil, and papaya fruit extract that naturally moisturize your skin! In addition, pomegranate extract, wild strawberry extract, and aloe vera juice are added, which have antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Simply put, this exfoliating gel effectively, but gently exfoliates your skin and unclogs your pores, as well as nourishes and provides moisture, leaving you with a healthy, glowing and fresh skin!
If you desire an even more thorough exfoliation, we recommend using our Exfoliating Mitt. The mitt is not recommended for sensitive skin.

Exfoliate & Glow Self-Heating Face Mask is a gel-based mask that consists of lactic and citric acids, which gently but effectively exfoliate your skin. It is self-warming, which opens up your pores and provides deep cleansing. Additionally, it also contains moisturizing and soothing ingredients, so that your face looks and feels soft and smooth.
This mask provides moisture, but if you want extra hydration and nourishment for your skin, we recommend Hydrate & Revive Face Moisturiser or Matte & Poreless Face Moisturiser, depending on your needs.
